ABOUT ME!

Hello, my name is Karaline Win.

I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Professional School Counselor with a strong commitment to supporting the mental health and personal growth of children, adolescents, and young adults.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Tampa, where I developed a foundation in psychological theory and research. I continued my education at Loyola University of Maryland, completing a Master’s degree in School Counseling. My academic and professional training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.

My counseling philosophy centers on creating a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment where clients feel genuinely heard and valued. I understand that reaching out for support can be a vulnerable experience, so I strive to foster a space where clients can feel comfortable expressing themselves openly, whether we are meeting in person or virtually.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify their unique strengths and challenges, and together we set realistic, achievable goals for personal and academic growth. My experience includes supporting clients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), depression, grief and loss, peer relationship issues, social skills development, and challenges related to emotional regulation.

My approach to counseling is integrative, drawing primarily from solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe in tailoring each session to the individual needs and interests of my clients. To facilitate engagement, I incorporate creative modalities such as therapeutic games, play-based interventions, journaling, mindfulness exercises, and art activities. These tools not only support emotional expression but also help clients develop coping skills, resilience, and self-awareness.

In addition to my direct work with clients, I am dedicated to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices in the field of counseling. I am passionate about empowering young people to recognize their potential, navigate life’s challenges, and achieve their personal and academic goals.

Thank you for considering me as a partner in your journey toward well-being. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you in reaching your goals.
