ABOUT ME!

Hello! I’m Jocelyn Hesen, a Licensed Masters In Social Work (LMSW) with a passion for supporting a range of individuals, including young children, teens, young adults, adults, families, and couples in their healing and growth.

I provide in-person/virtual/hybrid therapy services designed to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns with compassion and curiosity.  I view therapy as a collaborative journey, working alongside clients to identify patterns, develop insight, and cultivate skills for growth and resilience. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each client, ensuring a personalized and holistic approach to healing.

My work draws on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), play therapy, and more, while ensuring each client has an experience tailored to their needs. I emphasize collaboration and personalization — we’ll work together to identify goals, develop coping tools, and build skills that feel meaningful and sustainable.

I specialize in supporting early childhood and adolescent mental health (behavior challenges, emotional dysregulation, oppositional behaviors), neurodivergence (executive functioning, adaptive behaviors, social skills development, sensory regulation), anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions (divorce, separation, grief/loss), relationship challenges, stress, communication issues, self-esteem concerns, OCD, trauma (processing current world events and/or private family experiences), and parent training and coaching. My goal is to help you feel capable of managing challenges,  viewing therapy as a collaborative journey, working alongside clients to identify patterns, develop insight, and cultivate skills for growth and resilience through the therapeutic process.

I earned a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and hold an LMSW license in Maryland. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working and collaborating with diverse backgrounds across settings such as schools/private practice/agency work

If you’re ready to take the next step in the therapeutic journey, I’d be honored to work with you.
